What I do for CUMC:
I work in several branches of children's ministry. I direct The Club House afterschool program, Praise Kids, Zone 415 and many other areas of children's ministry. We are growing and our ultimate goal is that each child feels loved while in the care of our ministries.
The people in my life:
I have a wonderful husband Jermaine, who truly exemplifies a Godly man and we have three beautiful children. Our oldest daughter Indya is very sensitive, has a servant's heart, loves to sing and is a gifted artist. Imry our middle daughter has a great sense of humor, is very clever, loves to dance and can outsmart most adults. Judah our little man, was born in December and his smile makes my heart happy. I also have very supportive parents, Marvin and Liza Shrout who are actively involved here at Cypress and in the lives of my children.
My favorite color is green.
My favorite food is home cooked from my gramo's kitchen (flour tortillas and arroz con pollo).
What I love: when we put are words into ACTIONS.
What I strongly dislike: is standing still; it bores me!!! I don't like status quo or just because it has always been done that way; I think life is about embracing new and exciting things and shaking things up a bit!!!
What makes me laugh: children and their honesty, hearing my own children's laughter, my husband and his dry humor, when people can't laugh at themselves (it is hilarious and makes me want to laugh more) and Terri Welch has the greatest laugh ever it is very contagious!!!

Favorite movies: Gone with the Wind, Braveheart, Remember the Titans, and Steele Magnolias.
Two of my favorite things in life are babies and organizing people. With each one, you get to see a fabulous finished product. Each time I see a child, they are a new wonderful creation, growing and changing right before my eyes, a new "product" every day. Being Childcare Coordinator is exciting. Not only do I get to coordinate and work with a great group of ladies, but I get to play with, love and care for children every day.
Besides working at CUMC, I am a preschool teacher, Vacation Bible School co-director, a PTO volunteer at elementary and middle school and a taxi driver. My two children (ages 6 and 12) and husband keep me pretty busy too!
