Myself and family: If I jump off the page as a little energetic or excited, it's because I usually am! I love Jesus, people and music and it shows. One thing will I usually blurt out as soon as I meet you is "I have a beautiful girls!!" I am an extremely proud father and husband. I love my two daughters (Maddie and Sarah) and amazing wife Beth dearly. They are my joy!
What I love: I love people! I love the variety in which God made us. One of the sparks I love creating with others involves laughter and spontaneous joy. Conversations with others usually involve stories, laughter and topics that grow me closer to them. Music has ALWAYS been a wonderful catalyst to set these conversations in motion. Music can spark joy and even explore the opposite end of the spectrum: both deep and thoughtful. This of course leads me to my second love.
Music! I've been writing songs for the past 13 years, but something shifted in 2003. Initially, playing guitar was just a fun way to pass the time. God soon after made it clear that music was supposed to be more than a hobby. I worked feverishly to finish the songs I had been writing. I dove head first into volunteer music at FUMC Alvin. And if anyone knows me, I'm nothing if not passionate and dedicated. Since then, God has blessed me with the privilege of writing and recording 3 albums of original music and I could not be more grateful!
Life in Ministry: 2015 officially marks ten years I have been blessed to work in ministry. My roots in ministry began in Alvin, Texas as Associate Youth Director and Director of Young Adult ministries. From there, I became Youth Director at FUMC Pearland, Texas. During this time however, my love and call to music never wavered. God opened a door. I was asked to help start up and lead the Contemporary Worship service for John Wesley United Methodist Church. It was there that God began to mold my life in worship ministry, making me the man I am today.
