Cypress United Methodist Church offers comprehensive childcare for most church events by reservation and for all Sunday church services. Childcare services are provided by a capable, loving staff of child caregivers. Many of our staff have been at CUMC for many years and have watched our church family grow up. They look forward to seeing your child each week and becoming a familiar face in your child’s life. All of our staff is first aid and CPR trained.
SUNDAY MORNINGS:
On Sunday mornings we offer an infant nursery for non-walking babies and young toddlers in room W-4. Infants are welcome as soon as you and your pediatrician feel it is appropriate. The toddler nursery in room W-5 is for those toddlers who are walking steadily. The nursery is open on Sunday mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM.
WEEKLY CHILDCARE:
- Childcare services are also available for other church sponsored activities and meetings by contacting the sponsor of the group function.
- Childcare is offered for children up to 5th grade. Kindergarten through 5th grade children might be in “The Spot” (game room) during the evening hours.
- If the event calls for you to leave the church grounds, please be sure that you leave a cell phone number where we can reach you.
SAFE SANCTUARY:
Cypress United Methodist Church is committed to providing an environment that is as safe as possible for children and youth who participate in any of our ministry opportunities. All of our nursery staff have been background checked and trained on “Safe Sanctuary” policies. For the safety of the children and the workers, there should always be two unrelated caregivers in each room when children are present.
